In honor of Women’s History Month, Northpoint will be highlighting key figures from past and present who have assisted in the forward progress of our school’s vision.
Mary Campbell Wilson was raised in Portland, ME where she made the decision to follow Christ in a Pentecostal Tent Meeting in 1926. In 1933, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit and met Sister Christine Gibson, her soon to be spiritual mentor in ministry. After graduating from Zion, Wilson started to teach Minor Prophets and other various classes for the Institution.
Upon Christine Gibson’s passing, Wilson became the first Vice President of Zion when Dr. Leonard Heroo was elected president in 1960. She continued to contribute to the Institution by becoming Northpoint’s first Academic Dean and acting President at one time.
Northpoint Bible College is grateful for the ministry given by Mary Campbell Wilson through her years with the school. May many others rise up like her to be an influential leader to this generation.
