PENALTIES FOR DRUG VIOLATIONS

If you file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and carefully read all questions, you will notice that one question asks: “Have you been convicted for the possession or sale of illegal drugs for an offense that occurred while you were receiving federal student aid (such as grants, work-study, or loans)?” If yes, you would answer, “yes”.  If no, you would answer “no.”

Please note: A conviction for any drug offense while receiving Title IV (federal) aid will result in a loss of eligibility for all Title IV aid.
