Northpoint Bible College and Seminary

Receives Grant for International Student Scholarships

The V. Eugene and Rosalie DeFreitas Charitable Foundation has awarded Northpoint Bible College and Seminary a grant to fund international student scholarships for students from India, Indonesia, Kenya, and Lithuania.

“The $25,000 grant from the DeFreitas Charitable Foundation will help fund scholarships for six full-time students on our main campus in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Since our founding in 1924, students from around the world have come to Northpoint Bible College to receive ministerial training with a Pentecostal distinctive,” said Rev. Tiff Shuttlesworth, Interim President.

Founded in 1993, the V. Eugene and Rosalie DeFreitas Charitable Foundation funds religious, educational, and charitable endeavors.

“This is the second substantial gift Northpoint has received this week designated for scholarships. Monday, we received a bequest from an estate to help fund scholarships,” said Interim President Tiff Shuttlesworth.

“The founder of this ongoing vision, Christine Gibson, believed that no student, deemed to be called by God, should be turned away because of financial inability. I am praying that we will never lose sight of that core value. We are praying and fasting for God to miraculously help us, and He is!” said Rev. Tiff Shuttlesworth.

Northpoint Bible College and Seminary, based in Haverhill, Massachusetts, with satellite campus locations in six states, online and Hispanic cohorts offers accredited Associates, Bachelors, and Master’s degrees in Bible and Theology.
