Northpoint Professor Featured on the 700 Club After Publishing "Monster Mirror"

Dr. Michael Caparrelli recently released his new book, “MONSTER MIRROR: 100 HOURS WITH DAVID BERKOWITZ, ONCE KNOWN AS SON OF SAM, ON MENTAL HEALTH & EVIL PHENOMENA”. Dr. Caparrelli serves as a professor at Northpoint Bible College & Seminary along with leading the ARISE group- a weekly meeting to empower students who continue to overcome past addictions. His courses include Pastoral Counseling, Intro to Psychology, Support Group Dynamics, Social Psychology, Human Growth & Development, and Principle & Methods of Teaching.

Chances are, you’ve already met the Son of Sam in movies and books. May I introduce you to David, a fellow human being with familiar vulnerabilities? The monster you met in print clashes with the man I’ve encountered in person.

Here’s David, a lifer at Shawangunk Correctional, who still scratches his head about what ‘possesed’ him decades ago in a city that has mythologized his crimes ever since. May I warn you that when you meet David, you will not look into the eyes of a monster, but a mirror. I present to you: MONSTER MIRROR.

Michael A. Caparrelli, PhD

The scars of the past are always going to remain and haunt me. But I’ve given my life to Jesus Christ, and he has let me know in his word that he’s forgiven me completely.
