President David Arnett is pleased to announce that in January Reverend Josiah Smith will be joining the staff of Northpoint Bible College and Seminary.
He will be working with the President, the Dean of Students, and the Director of Church Relations to assist in the areas of campus spiritual health, student discipleship, ministry opportunities (both on and off campus), ministry trips, missions trips, ministerial credentialling, and placement of graduates. He will also direct and coordinate the internships and the weekly student Christian service assignments.
Josiah and his wife Tasha are coming to the Northpoint family from Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he serves as Missional Living Pastor for Life Church of the Laurel Highlands. Prior to his role there, Josiah served for seven years as senior leader and founding pastor of the church he planted, New Hope Community Church.
A graduate of Central Bible College (B.A. in Bible & Theology), Josiah has a passion for building the Church across denominational lines, seeing new churches planted, and teaching the Bible in a practical and understandable way. He has also published a book entitled “Along the Way: A Beginner’s Guide to Journeying with Jesus in the Kingdom.”
He is an ordained minister with the Church of God (headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee; a Holiness Pentecostal Christian denomination).
