Honoring Dr. Benjamin Crandall

Dr. N. Benjamin Crandall, Northpoint’s fourth president, entered into his eternal reward on October 20, 2023, at the age of 98. During Dr. Crandall’s presidency, Northpoint moved from the original East Providence, Rhode Island campus to Barrington, Rhode Island, and was approved to offer a four-year baccalaureate degree in Bible while also starting the accreditation process with the Association for Biblical Higher Education. President Tiff Shuttlesworth reflected on the impact of Dr. Crandall on not only those who came through Zion, now Northpoint, but also him personally. “For most of my ministry, he was a spiritual father in my life. He was loved by so many as a spiritual father and spiritual leader.”

 Dr. Crandall’s funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at noon at Zion Gospel Church in East Providence, Rhode Island. Northpoint is thankful for the life and legacy of Dr. N. Benjamin Crandall.
