Northpoint Bible College celebrates Black History Month by acknowledging the life and testimony of William J. Seymour. Seymour, an African American preacher who founded the Apostolic Faith Mission which became the site of the Azusa Street Revival.
Throughout his life and ministry, Seymour faced much discrimination due to his race. However, he never allowed that to stop his holy mission.
Many consider the series of meetings on Azusa Street as the birthplace of modern Pentecostalism and acknowledge Seymour as a spiritual father of many church fellowships.
We pause to recognize and celebrate Seymour’s contributions as a founder of the Pentecostal Movement. We pray God raises up more William Seymours in the Pentecostal movement!
