Northpoint Bible College celebrates Black History Month by highlighting one of our young Alumni. “Cultural Competence” by Pastor Kevin Mogor addresses the need to be mindful of the way we approach subjects and situations with people who come from different ethnic backgrounds.
Mogor writes, “To be culturally competent is not a matter of living what other people have lived through, but instead taking the time to listen, understand, and educate oneself on the life and experience of those around them.”
Pastor Kevin is a 2016 Northpoint graduate with a BA in Biblical Studies and Children’s Ministries. Presently he is the Director of Student Ministries at Crossroads Community Cathedral in East Hartford, CT.

We at Northpoint thank Pastor Kevin and many like him who wish to see understanding and forward progress happen in a world which needs unity rather than division.
