It takes about a day to process. Once your application, pastoral reference, and transcripts are submitted, then your file will go under review.

Is there an application deadline?
We have “soft” application deadlines. Students can apply and be accepted at any time prior to the beginnings of the semester. For the Fall semester each year is August 1 and the Spring semester deadline is January 1. Priority for scholarships and need-based discounts are given to students who meet the deadlines.
What does provisionally accept mean?
Provisional acceptance means that you submitted your application, pastoral reference, and unofficial/official high school transcripts for review. The academic committee met and approved your acceptance provisionally as long as you submit your official documents forthwith.
When is the acceptance letter mailed?
Your letter will be mailed shortly after you have been fully accepted.
Does the college require a minimum SAT/ACT Score for Enrollment?
SAT/ACT scores are required for US and Canadian applicants. Scores will not be used as acceptance criterion but for academic placement only.

What are the required MMR Immunizations?
The MMR is an immunization against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella.
This immunization is required by all students seeking to study in the United States.
If you were born before 1956, you are considered immune and need not obtain these vaccines.
If you are unable to obtain the MMR in your country (it is mostly unavailable in African nations), you must write a letter to the Northpoint Bible College stating this difficulty.
At that point you will be permitted to receive your MMR once you arrive at Northpoint.
What are the health requirements for on campus students?
- Spring 2021 flu shots required for all on-campus students.
- Immunization records
- Health certificate with a doctor stating a student is cleared to live on campus.

What is your transfer policy?
- Student should request an official transcript from all colleges he/she has attended.
- Only courses in which a grade of C or better was earned will be considered.
- Once the transcript is evaluated the student will be notified, as will the Financial Aid office, to the number of credits being transferred into Northpoint.
- Only credits that go toward a student’s program will be transferred.
- Students must complete their last 30 hours of credits through Northpoint in order to graduate with a degree or certificate. Requests for credits to be transferred in following matriculation must be approved by the Chief Academic Officer.

How do I apply for a Visa?
Upon your acceptance you will take all your acceptance documents, such as your Acceptance letter, International Student Documentation of Finances with bank statement attached, and your I-20 and your passport to the American Embassy to apply for a student visa (F-1 Visa).
Canadian students do not need to visit an embassy, but simply bring all these documents to the US border crossing for approval.
Please note that you will want to contact the Embassy to obtain a list of all the documentation you will need for your appointment.

What do the payments look like for the semester?
- 50% of total tuition and fees at registration
- 25% of total tuition fees due October 15 for the Fall semester or March 1 for the Spring semester
- Remainder of account balance due December 1 for the Fall semester or April 15 for the Spring semester
What type of financial aid is available?
Pell Grant
This is awarded to eligible students based on need, and grants do not have to be repaid.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
This is awarded to the most needy students, and does not have to be repaid. These funds are limited, so an early FAFSA filing is necessary to receive this award.
Federal Direct Loan
This loan is obtained from the U.S. government’s Direct Loan program at low interest rates and consists of subsidized (the government pays the interest for you while you are in school) and unsubsidized (you pay interest while in school or allow it to accrue, that is, interest will be added to the principal amount and you will end up paying interest on interest) loans. Repayment of principal and interest begins six months after you graduate, withdraw, or drop below half-time status. Loans may not exceed your cost of attendance.
Federal Parent Loan (PLUS Loan)
This loan is issued by the U.S. government’s Direct Loan program to the parents of dependent undergraduate students who qualify. Repayment of principal and interest begins sixty days after the final disbursement.
Federal Work Study
This provides funds which student earns through an on-campus or community service job. Funds for this are limited so an early FAFSA filing is necessary.

Verification Forms
If you received a notice from the Financial Aid Office stating that your file as selected for review in a process called verification, then you are in the right place. Verification is a special review of your FAFSA. To complete verification, we will need specific forms from you. You should have received a letter or email from the Financial Aid Office requesting that you complete a specific verification worksheet (V1, V2, V3, V4 or V6). Each worksheet is designed to verify certain elements on your FAFSA.
