Northpoint Bible College and Graduate School is pleased to announce that Dr. Dan Howell has been appointed the Chief Academic Officer (Academic Dean).
 
Dr. Dan Howell has been with Northpoint Bible College since January of 2003. In his tenure at the college he has been the Chair of the Pastoral Ministries Department, Chair of the Bible/Theology Department and most recently Dean of the Northpoint Graduate School. He serves on various faculty committees as well. His teaching assignments have included nineteen different courses in General Education, Pastoral Studies, Bible/Theology and in the Graduate School.
 
Dr. Howell had been ordained with the Assemblies of God for twenty-eight years. His pastoral ministry includes positions as Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Minister of Christian Education, and Administrator of two Christian Schools. He has served on various Christian Education committees and boards in Ohio, Indiana and for the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He has authored several articles and a book on the subject of Christian Education for various Assemblies of God publications.
 
Dr. Howell graduated from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education (1976), a Masters of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO (1981) and received his Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Spiritual Formation from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA (2007).
 
He and his wife Susan have been married for 42 years. They have two adult children, a daughter Melissa, who is President and CEO of the Philippine Christian Foundation, Manila, Philippines and a son Ryan, who is the Lead Pastor at Curtis Lake Christian Church in Sanford, Maine and President of Vision New England. They have four grandchildren, Judah, Micah, Camille, and Simon.
 
Dr. Howell will replace Dr. Patrick Gallagher who is stepping down from being Dean to teach full-time
